For the close grip upright row stand with your legs shoulder length apart, this will give you a good base in which to perform the exercise.

Take a barbell and have you hand grip no more than 6cm apart. Start with you arms straight done in front of you, palms facing inwards.

Pull the bar to you chin, pulling your elbows as high in the air as you can get them. This will put more of the stress on the traps.

always lower the bar slowly and under control. shot for 10-15 reps.
